Addressing Poverty in Underprivileged Coptic Communities in Egypt
Coptic Cross Ministries is a Virginia-based Christian nonprofit that partners with the Coptic Church in Egypt to empower underprivileged Coptic Christians. Our work addresses poverty, which heightens vulnerability to religious intolerance, increases health risks, and undermines community and family ties.
Empowering Coptic Families to Combat Poverty
Partnering with the Coptic Church in Egypt, the organization conducts in-person needs assessments to provide relief to Copts. Families in poverty are enrolled in programs, each supported by a local volunteer case manager. Programs include:

Empowering Coptic Families to Break the Cycle of Poverty
- 452 Families have received monthly food supplies
- 193 Copts with disabilities have received medical equipment and other necessities
- 603 Children have received Bibles and school supplies
- 37 Families have started their own small businesses
- 318 Coptic families have received financial and medical assistance, furniture, appliances, home repairs and wedding assistance for ladies.
Thanks to your generous donations, we’ve enrolled 452 Coptic families from Upper Egypt in our monthly food assistance program. We’ve also reduced the suffering of 193 Copts with disabilities through mobility equipment and medical services. Additionally, we supplied 603 students with Bibles, school supplies and financial support, helped 318 families with essential needs like furniture and medicine, and empowered 37 families to start or grow their small businesses.
