01Agreement to Terms
Welcome to www.copticcross.org (the “Site”). This Terms of Use Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding agreement between you (“user” or “you”) and Coptic Cross Ministries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Virginia (“Coptic Cross Ministries,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of our Site.
By accessing or using our Site, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
02About Coptic Cross Ministries
Coptic Cross Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit Christian organization based in Ashburn, Virginia. Our mission is to walk alongside Coptic families facing disability and illness in Egypt, providing Disability Support Homes, Medical Care and Support, Monthly Food Assistance, Children’s Educational Support, Family Financial Assistance, Small Business Development, and spiritual and emotional support. We operate in partnership with Coptic churches in Egypt’s poorest communities.

03Use of the Site
Our Site is provided for informational and charitable purposes only. You may use the Site to learn about our ministry, make donations, subscribe to our newsletter, and contact us. You may not use the Site for any commercial purpose or any purpose not expressly permitted by this Agreement.
By using the Site, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use the Site and make any donations or submissions.
- All information you provide to us is truthful, accurate, and current.
- Your use of the Site does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
04Donations and Payment
Coptic Cross Ministries accepts online donations through our trusted third-party payment processors, including Donorbox, Stripe, PayPal, and Google Pay. All donations are processed securely through these platforms.
All donations to Coptic Cross Ministries are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law under IRC Section 170, as confirmed by our IRS tax-exempt determination letter dated October 2021.
Donation refund policy. We understand that mistakes happen. If you have made a duplicate donation or donated by error, please contact us within 30 days at info@copticcross.org and we will process a full refund. All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the approval of Coptic Cross Ministries. All other donations are considered final and nonrefundable, as they are immediately directed toward serving families in need.
All transactions are conducted in U.S. dollars.
05Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics, video, audio, logos, and design elements (“Site Content”), is owned by or licensed to Coptic Cross Ministries and is protected by United States and international copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, or use any Site Content for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Coptic Cross Ministries. You are welcome to share our content for personal, noncommercial, and ministry-related purposes with appropriate attribution.
06User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
By using the Site, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its related systems.
- Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Using the Site to transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or harmful content.
- Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.
- Using automated tools such as bots, scrapers, or data mining software to extract content from the Site.
- Engaging in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the proper functioning of the Site.
- Using the Site in any manner that violates applicable local, state, federal, or international law.
07Third Party Websites and Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience and reference. These links do not constitute an endorsement by Coptic Cross Ministries of those websites or their content. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of use of any third-party websites you visit.
08Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Coptic Cross Ministries makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Site. Coptic Cross Ministries is not responsible for any errors or omissions in Site content or for any actions taken in reliance on such content.
09Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Coptic Cross Ministries, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or your inability to use the Site. The total liability of Coptic Cross Ministries to you for any claim arising from your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount of any donation you made to Coptic Cross Ministries in the thirty days preceding the claim.
10Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Notice, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. Please review our Privacy Notice at www.copticcross.org/privacy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.
11Children
Persons under the age of 13 are not permitted to submit personal information, make donations, or register on the Site without verifiable parental consent, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
12Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall first be subject to informal resolution. You agree to contact us at info@copticcross.org to attempt to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing any legal action. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
13Modifications to This Agreement
Coptic Cross Ministries reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Agreement. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
14Termination
Coptic Cross Ministries reserves the right to deny access to the Site to any user at any time, for any reason, including violation of this Agreement, without notice or liability.
