01Our Commitment
Coptic Cross Ministries serves families living with disability and illness, so making our own website welcoming to people of all abilities is close to our heart. We are committed to ensuring that everyone, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology, can access our content and take part in our mission.
02The Standard We Follow
We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. These are the internationally recognized standards for making web content easier to perceive, operate, understand, and use for people with a wide range of abilities.
03What We Have Done
To make our site more accessible, we have worked to provide:
- Clear, descriptive headings and a logical reading order on every page.
- Text alternatives for images, so that people using screen readers understand what each image conveys.
- Readable color contrast between text and background.
- Navigation that works with a keyboard alone, not only a mouse.
- Plain, straightforward language throughout the site.
04An Honest Word on Our Progress
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one time task. We are continually working to improve the experience for all visitors, and some older content may not yet meet every standard. We are committed to addressing any gaps as we find them.
