Clerical Deacon Roumany Soliman
Founder and Executive Director
Roumany Soliman (Roumany Elkomos Arsanios) is a devoted Coptic Christian leader with more than 35 years of service to the Coptic community in Egypt and the United States. As the leader of Coptic Cross Ministries, he is deeply committed to empowering underprivileged Coptic Christians in Egypt—particularly people with disabilities, those facing terminal illness, widows, and their children.
Roumany’s passion for this mission began in 1985 when he entered the Seminary School at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Cairo. A year later, he joined the St. Abram Charity Organization, where he found joy in serving his poor brothers and sisters in Christ. That calling has only deepened over time. Since moving to the United States in 1997, he has continued to serve the Coptic community, especially new immigrants facing financial hardship.
To Roumany, this work is not just service—it is a calling from God. As a member of the Church’s dedicated clergy, he sees caring for the poor, the sick, and the marginalized as a direct expression of Christ’s teachings and the heart of Christian ministry. Through Coptic Cross Ministries, he strives to strengthen the bonds of community, faith, and dignity among the most vulnerable members of the Coptic Church.
