Empowering Coptic Families Through Small Business
Our program is dedicated to helping struggling Coptic families turn their dreams into reality by launching and growing small businesses. We focus on two groups: those ready to start their own ventures and those needing support to expand their existing businesses.
Take Mariam, for example. With her husband facing health challenges, she needed a way to support her family. We provided her with a commercial oven to bake bread, and now she serves over 30 loyal customers from her church.
Then there’s Mikhail, a shoe cleaner and repairman. We helped him upgrade to a commercial pickup tricycle, allowing him to reach customers in nearby towns. He now sells new shoes and repairs them, significantly boosting his income.
Hedra, who lives with a disability, runs a payment-collection business. We supplied him with a new motorcycle, enabling him to serve more clients. His customer base has grown from 600 to 650, with more potential ahead!
Lastly, Ayman sells children’s toys but struggled with limited stock. By paying off his debt and supplying a wider variety, we helped him increase sales and profit margins.

How the Small Business Aid Program Works
Every visit to a Coptic family in need sparks a vital question: How can we help them break free from the grip of poverty and achieve financial independence? Through our case studies, we uncover each family’s potential for success in business.
Once we approve a case, we pair the family with a dedicated church volunteer as their case manager. We handle everything—from purchasing essential machinery to completing legal paperwork—ensuring a smooth launch. When it’s time, we deliver the equipment to their business location, providing installation and hands-on training to ensure they’re ready to thrive.
Families can choose between two empowering small business development programs:
Grant Program: We help establish their business with a grant—no repayment necessary.
Loan Program: We offer a zero-interest loan with a manageable monthly repayment plan, encouraging responsibility and growth.
