Help Urgent Needs

Urgent Needs

Hardship does not only visit the poor. Sometimes a sudden illness or an emergency surgery costs far more than a family could ever manage on their own. These are the urgent cases on our hearts right now. Each one has been verified by our volunteers in Egypt, and every gift goes directly to the family in need. To protect the privacy of those we serve, the names shown here have been changed.

When you give to a specific case, please write the name of the case you are supporting in the comment section of the donation platform, so your gift reaches the right family.

Manal

Help Still Needed

Manal is a bright 12-year-old girl who, because of a growth hormone deficiency, is still the size of a 7-year-old. To grow, she needs a daily injection of Somatropin for 18 months, along with regular doctor visits, blood work, and a nurse to give the shot each day. Her father works long days, yet her care costs more than 12,000 Egyptian pounds a month while he earns about 5,000, and the family did not qualify for our food program because he is able to work. Your gift can help Manal grow and show her family that the Lord sees and cares for them.

Sara

Help Still Needed

Sara, 62, has spent her life caring for others. As the first-born of six daughters, she helped her disabled mother raise her five younger sisters and put three of them through marriage. Now retired because of her own health, she lives on a pension of about 3,200 Egyptian pounds a month, but a bank loan she took to help her sisters is swallowing it. At 30 percent interest, she pays 1,800 a month and is left with only 1,400 to live on, and she still owes 85,000. Paying off her debt would end the crushing interest and free her pension, so she can live with dignity. Let us show Sara the Lord’s merciful care.

John

Help Still Needed

John is a young man who has just finished high school and is paralyzed from the waist down, while the rest of him is strong and healthy. He lives on the second floor of his building, and because his mother cannot carry him up and down the stairs, he is confined to the apartment, unable to reach church, college, or work. His family does not qualify for our programs, yet our home visit and case study confirmed his need for a small two-person lift or a stair chair lift, at a cost of about 400,000 Egyptian pounds. Your gift can set John free from being shut in at home and open the door to church, college, and the future he is ready to build.

Help John Reach the World Outside

Every gift, large or small, is a direct answer to prayer. Once a case is fully funded, it is removed from this list. If a gift comes in after that, it will help the next case waiting for urgent care. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.

Give Where It Is Needed Most

If you would rather not choose a single case, you can make an undesignated gift. We will direct it to wherever the need is greatest across all our programs, from urgent cases to food, medical care, and more. Please write “Urgent Needs” in the comment section of the donation platform so we know your intention.
